Polyurethane Press-Ons, aka "Poly tires", are solid polyurethane tires built on top of a 3/8" steel ring to press onto flat base wheels. A polyurethane tire is measured by "overall diameter by width by inside diameter", resulting in a size like "21x7x15". This tire is 21 inches tall, 7 inches wide, and presses onto a 15 inch wheel diameter, resulting in about 5-5/8 inches of poly compound, accounting for the steel ring base. The polyurethane on this tire is naturally non-marking and has a higher durometer (hardness) than it's "cushion" rubber press-on counterpart. The poly compound allows for reduced rolling resistance and heat build up, making it ideal for electric forklifts working in clean applications. They are designed to withstand demanding conditions, making them an excellent choice for freezer applications, where stability and performance are crucial.
Unlike cushion rubber press-on tires, polyurethane press-on tires have a higher durometer, providing a firmer ride with minimal flex. This makes them ideal for warehouses and industrial settings where cleanliness and clear floors are essential. With these tires, operators can feel even the smallest objects on the ground, ensuring maximum control and precision.
Our polyurethane press-on tires are suitable for a range of electric forklift brands, including popular names like Raymond. We offer options from top manufacturers, including Millennium USA's Falcon Wheel, known for their exceptional quality and reliability.
Remember, it's always important to consider the specific needs of your application when choosing the right tires.
